Chiefs Extend Winning Streak with Victory Over Saints

The Kansas City Chiefs continued their unbeaten start to the NFL season with a 26-13 home win against the New Orleans Saints. The Chiefs, along with the Minnesota Vikings, are now the only teams boasting a 5-0 record.

Kareem Hunt’s five-yard rushing touchdown gave the reigning champions an early 10-0 lead, and Harrison Butker’s four field goals helped keep them ahead throughout the game.

Saints quarterback Derek Carr connected with Rashid Shaheed for a 43-yard touchdown and later found Foster Moreau for a six-yard score, reducing the Chiefs’ lead to just three points. However, a late three-yard run from Xavier Worthy secured the victory for the Chiefs and handed the Saints their third loss in five games.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, while not throwing a touchdown pass, completed 28 of his 39 attempts, totaling 331 yards.

The Chiefs now enter a bye week before heading to San Francisco on October 20 for a Super Bowl 58 rematch, which they won in overtime earlier this year.
