Josh Onomah Joins Blackpool on Short-Term Deal

Blackpool has officially signed former Tottenham and Fulham midfielder Josh Onomah on a short-term contract until January, following a successful trial period. The 27-year-old previously worked under Seasiders manager Steve Bruce during loan spells at Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday.

Onomah, who was part of the England squad that lifted the Under-20 World Cup in 2017, has been out of competitive action since a brief stint with Lancashire rivals Preston North End at the close of the 2022-23 season.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the move, Onomah stated, “I’ve worked with the gaffer before and have a good relationship with him, so I’m happy to be here and to start playing.” His addition is expected to bolster Blackpool’s midfield options as they aim for a strong performance in the upcoming matches.
