Chantelle Cameron Believes Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano Might Avoid Facing Her After Dominant Victory
English boxer Chantelle Cameron suggested that Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano might hesitate to fight her after her latest win. Cameron retained her interim WBC light-welterweight title with a unanimous decision over Sweden’s Patricia Berghult on Saturday, with judges scoring it 99-91, 100-90, and 98-92, giving Cameron her 20th win in 21 professional bouts. The 33-year-old had previously expressed hopes of challenging the winner of the Taylor-Serrano undisputed title fight scheduled for November 15.
“I think I made a big statement there,” Cameron told TNT Sports post-fight. “That’s probably why I won’t get a shot at the belts for a long time, if they can avoid me.”
Cameron has a history with Taylor, having handed the Irish fighter her only career defeat in May last year before Taylor reclaimed her titles in a November rematch. With Taylor set to face Serrano in a highly anticipated rematch of their 2022 lightweight battle in Texas, Cameron expressed eagerness to fight for the belts once more.
“I’m going to keep my eyes closely on that fight and just hope I get the chance to fight for [the belts] again,” Cameron added. “But I may be avoided and run away from after today.”
Shabaz Masoud Upsets Liam Davies for IBO Super-Bantamweight Title

The 28-year-old Masoud remains unbeaten with 14 professional wins, while Davies, also 28, recorded his first loss from 17 fights.
