Tottenham Hotspur Sign Spain Midfielder Maite Oroz on Transfer Deadline Day
Tottenham Hotspur has bolstered their squad by signing Spanish midfielder Maite Oroz from Real Madrid on the Women’s Super League’s transfer deadline day. Oroz, who has agreed to a four-year contract with Spurs, is pending international clearance and a work visa.
At 26, Oroz brings a wealth of experience, having made 146 appearances and served as a co-captain for Real Madrid. Her strong performances in Spain’s top flight earned her a place on the national team in 2021, where she has since earned 15 caps and scored four goals.
Oroz is Tottenham’s sixth permanent signing this summer, joining Clare Hunt, Ella Morris, Hayley Raso, Amanda Nilden, and Anna Csiki in a busy transfer window for the club.
