The 2024/25 Carabao Cup third round is set to generate excitement as Premier League giants Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea enter the competition. After skipping the earlier rounds due to their European commitments, these top clubs will now join the fray with 29 other teams.

The draw, finalized late Wednesday night following the conclusion of the fourth-round fixtures, was conducted by Les Ferdinand and Michael Dawson with Mark Chapman as the presenter, as reported by Sky Sports.

A new rule this season means the third round will be spread over two weeks. This change ensures that the six of the seven teams competing in European competitions will not face each other in this round.

As a result, Arsenal will host Bolton, Manchester United will face Barnsley, and Liverpool will take on West Ham. Tottenham will travel to Coventry, and Chelsea will host Barrow. The ties are scheduled to take place during the weeks commencing September 16 and September 23.

A full list of fixtures for September 17, along with other matches set between September 16 and 23, will be determined based on team availability. This information was obtained from the EFL website early Thursday morning.
