England’s Squad Updates Ahead of Nations League Games

England’s preparations for their upcoming Nations League matches in October have hit a few bumps, as Morgan Gibbs-White, Ezri Konsa, and Kobbie Mainoo have been ruled out due to injuries.

Despite these setbacks, captain Harry Kane has been declared fit to play after concerns over his fitness following Bayern Munich’s draw with Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

The Three Lions will first face Greece at Wembley on Thursday, followed by a clash against Finland in Helsinki on Sunday.

Interim manager Lee Carsley has confirmed that he will not be adding any replacements to the squad, which still includes 22 players from his initial selection. All other squad members reported to St George’s Park as planned.

Gibbs-White, who made his England debut last month, picked up an injury in Nottingham Forest’s draw against Chelsea after a blocked shot. Aston Villa’s Konsa suffered a hamstring injury during their match against Manchester United, while United’s Mainoo was substituted late in the game due to injury.
