West Ham defender Kurt Zouma has finalized a loan move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Orobah. The 29-year-old Frenchman, who captained the Hammers during the 2023-24 season following Declan Rice’s transfer to Arsenal, has opted for a new challenge in Saudi Arabia.
Zouma, who joined West Ham from Chelsea in 2021 for £29 million, made 103 appearances for the club. Although the Premier League’s transfer window closed on Friday, the Saudi Arabian window remains open until 7 September, allowing Zouma to complete his move.
Earlier this summer, Zouma had been set to join Shabab Al-Ahli in the United Arab Emirates, but the transfer fell through after he failed a medical.
With just a year remaining on his West Ham contract, the London club allowed him to remain in the region to secure another opportunity, which has now materialized with Al-Orobah.
